CONDUCT

  • Coaches, if we have to remove one of your fans from the complex, the head coach will also be ejected for that game. Fan will not be allowed to return for that event. 

  • Any pattern of badgering of an umpire, other fans, coaches, players, directors, gate workers, etc...will result in being escorted from the park by the local PD. Coaches/Spectators, if you put your hands on an umpire/tournament staff, you will be prosecuted & vice versa for umpires/tournament staff to coaches/spectators. Tournament Directors have the discretion to have anyone removed from the park.

COMPLEX RULES

  • Any patron that uses profanity toward a gate worker or enters without paying will be removed from the park by the local PD.

  • Music must be played at a respectful volume

  • NO steel spikes at any complex with turf. 

  • Coaches must check in at the gate using their gate pass. If you do not have your gate pass you will need to pay. 

  • Armbands must be shown to re-enter the complex

PROTEST

  •  Protest fees are $300 - No exceptions. 

  • For protest of players not on the roster or illegal age or any other player eligibility question, the protest must be initiated from the 1st pitch of the game to before the 1st pitch of the 2nd at bat of the player who is being protested.  Once a player has had 1 pitch thrown to him of his second at bat, he is no longer eligible to be protested. 

  • Any other protest that isn't a player eligible protest, must be done between the first pitch of the game and end of the game(unless the last out of the game causes a protestable situation,in this case the coach who wants to protest must call it to the umpires attention before they leave the field).You get the $300 back for a successful protest. 

GENERAL RULES

  • We will provide baseballs for each game. However, teams need to be prepared to throw in game balls if the umpire runs out until we get more. Also, teams are responsible for retrieving foul balls & returning them to the field.  

  • Pay attention to your post game score cards before signing. When you sign you are approving the score and all pitching records. 

  • Catchers must wear a helmet that covers the ears. 

  • Run rules are 12 after 3 .... 10 after 4 ....8 after 5

  • Extra innings - Bases Loaded with 1 Out - Last 3 batters placed on base. 

  • 3rd to 1st pick off is legal. 

  • Head first slides are legal to any base unless a face mask, cflap, or chin strap is being worn. First offense is a team warning. The 2nd offense is an out. This only applies to ages 12 & under. 

  • 9-A will have a 6 run per inning limit in pool & bracket 

  • Grand Slam plays by National Federation High School rules...with the exception of rules listed here, Grand Slam MS Rules or corporate Grand Slam. State Directors have the discretion to modify corporate rules. 

  • Always keep birth certificates on hand. Digital copies are allowed. 

  • Teams who have players that meet the grade exception (hold back) must have a progress report, report card or letter from the school confirming current grade if challenged. 

  • Time limit for Coach Pitch 50 mins, 9-12U 1 hour10 min

    6 innings max pitching for a 1 day

If you have any on field issues, please make sure to contact a director before leaving the field or during the game. We can't help you once the game is over & teams have left the field.

Teams who have not paid will not be included on the schedule.

  • The schedule will be released Wednesday March 25th.
  • A detailed email for the event will be sent on Thursday February 26th.

Reminder, it is Grand Slam MS policy that teams who drop out of an event after the schedule is released will still owe the entry fee & the team will not be scheduled in an event until that fee is paid. For special circumstances that may occur, please reach out to the Tournament Director .

Teams who decide not to play & withdraw before the schedule is released will receive a credit toward their next Grand Slam event if they have already paid their entry fee. 

In the instance that the event is canceled for any reason, teams will also receive a credit toward their next event 

Rules of note...

  • Divisions with more than 5 teams could have a consolation game for bracket. Make your pool play games count. 
  • Divisions will be deleted that do not have 3 or more teams registered if field space becomes limited. 
  • Teams will be responsible for providing baseballs for pool play
  • Time limit for ages 9-12 will be 1:10
  • 6 inning limit for pitching
  • No schedule request, all teams will need to be ready to play their first game by lunch on Saturday
  • 1st & 2nd place will receive custom rings
  • Teams who play in 3 Saturday Slam events will qualify for 30% discount in the Saturday Slam Championship June 13th. 
  • Teams who win a Saturday Slam event will qualify for 50% discount in the Saturday Slam Championship June 13th.
