We are aware of the weather forecast. We have been in constant communication with Brandon Parks & Rec. & they have assured us they will do all they can during the day to keep us playing.

We will send out a notice tomorrow morning by 6:30 a.m just in case something changes

It is possible that we have delays & if so we may have to change the format...such as moving to a 2 pool single elimination. Make your pool play games count! Especially the 1st game.

If we have to go to 1 pool game & some teams have already played 2, the first one is the one that will be counted

Please be patient and flexible during weather delays during or before the event. The best way to stay informed is via our Facebook page, the event info page, or email.

Grand Slam has a no tolerance conduct policy. It's real simple, we expect people to not cross the line.

If you cuss at a player, coach, fan, umpire, staff etc...you're gone for the event.

If you make a threat toward a player, coach, fan, umpire, staff etc, you will be banned from attending Grand Slam events.

If we have to remove a fan from the complex due to conduct, the head coach will also be ejected from that game. No exceptions.

Do not let an umpire stop the game with time left on the clock. If there is time left we start the next inning.

  • Gate fee is $10/per person ages 13 & up
  • All formats are 2 pool games into double elimination
  • Seeding is done by  Head to head when applicable, Runs allowed, Run differential, Runs scored, Coin Flip
  • In Grand Slam, a team can only get a max credit of 10 runs scored in a game & a max of a 7 run differential. For example, if you win a game 12-2...your runs scored will show as 10 & your RD will show as 7
  • Run rule is 12 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5
  • In Grand Slam we do not play IF games in the bracket. The championship game is winner take all!

However, in order for teams to be placed on the schedule, they must pay $100 deposit.

This deposit is due by Monday May 5th at 3:00 p.m. You can venmo your $100 deposit to jamie-smith-364 or you can pay it through your Grand Slam cart!

Teams who remain on the schedule will have their $100 deposit returned to them on Saturday the 10th, the day of the event.

After that time of 3:00 p.m. on May 5th, any team who has not paid this deposit will be removed from the event.

Registration will close at 3:00 p.m. on Monday the 5th & the schedule will be released on Tuesday the 6th.

Any teams who withdraws after 3 p.m. on Monday the 5th will forfeit their $100 deposit. We understand there could be unavoidable circumstances & if so you can email tpsportsms@gmail.com to discuss a possible refund. Be advised, it will definitely have to be unavoidable circumstances.

Teams who remain on the schedule will have their $100 deposit returned to them on Saturday the 10th, the day of the event.

Below is an email that was sent out earlier to coaches & admins, Grand Slam will operate by certain standards and will not participate in the back & forth of entering events the week of that event.

Once tournament week has arrived, It is an unwritten rule and unethical for tournament directors to reach out to teams who are registered in other events & division is made to try and  persuade them to play in their event. If any director in Grand Slam does this it needs to be reported to tpsportsms@gmail.com

Coaches & Admins,

We wanted to reach out about an area of concern we are seeing.

It seems to be a common pattern for teams to sign up for events & then withdraw, for whatever reason (mainly to enter other events), on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

While we are definitely not naive to the fact that things happen & plans change & teams need to withdraw, the current pattern shows total disregard for other teams, directors, umpires & others who go to tremendous links to prepare these events.

Grand Slam will not play a role in the pattern of withdrawing from events on Tuesdays or Wednesdays the week of an event, and most certainly will not tolerate this once the schedule has been released.

We want teams to play Grand Slam softball & we hope teams will continue to choose to do so, but it will be within the standards we expect.

We will continue to learn and adjust until our events are the best in the state, just as we did with baseball. With that said, it will have to be a two way street on what we expect from each other.

Please pass the message along to your parents as well. Directors will be sending out event emails with specific rules in place to counter act this current practice.

Thank you for understanding & choosing to play Grand Slam!

Welcome to Grand Slam for Mom!
